Free Medical Relief Camp for Flood-Affected Areas of District Buner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Areas of District Ghizer, Gilgit Baltistan

Karachi – August 20, 2025: The State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLIC) is deploying Free Medical Relief Camps in District Buner covering Bishonai Village, Tehsil Gadazai (Pirbaba); Gangshal Village, Tehsil Chagarzai; Battai and Qadar Nagar Village, Tehsil Gadazai (Pirbaba); and Kot Village, Tehsil Daggar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as in District Ghizer, including Daain Village, Tehsil Ishkomen, and District Diame, Boner Das Village, Tehsil Chilas, in Gilgit Baltistan. These camps will be staffed by SLIC medical officers supported by paramedics from SLIC empanelled hospitals, along with a pediatric specialist to address the needs of children. Free oral medicines and IV injections will be provided on-site, alongside essential healthcare services such as medical check-ups and preventive care for communities affected by the devastating floods.

  • Kot Village, Tehsil Daggar

 

Locations in Areas of District Diamer, Gilgit Baltistan: 26 August - 27 August 2025

  • Boner Das Village, Tehsil Chilas

 

Locations in Areas of District Ghizer, Gilgit Baltistan: 29 August - 30 August 2025

  • Daain Village, Tehsil Ishkomen

 

At each camp, qualified SLIC doctors and medical staff will be available to provide free consultations, basic treatments, and essential medicines.

Following days of heavy monsoon rains and cloudbursts that caused severe flooding and landslides displacing families and disrupting lives, this initiative reflects SLIC’s commitment to supporting citizens in times of crisis. In response to the evolving emergency, SLIC is actively assessing urgent healthcare needs across the country in regions devastated by the floods and will continue to monitor the situation closely. Relief efforts will be expanded in impacted areas to ensure the timely and strategic deployment of medical services wherever communities are most in need.
