Salman Mufti is a senior civil servant with over 25 years of experience in public administration, policy development, and institutional reform. A member of the Pakistan Administrative Service (BS-21), he currently serves as Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan.
Mr. Mufti has held diverse leadership roles across federal and provincial governments, including Managing Director of NFML, Special Secretary Health (Punjab), Additional Director NAB, and Director at the Civil Services Academy. His portfolio spans finance, planning, commerce, health, education, and governance, with notable postings in Balochistan, Punjab, and abroad as Community Welfare Attaché in Oman.
He holds an LLM from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Canada, and a Master’s in International Development from the University of Manchester, UK. His academic work focuses on regulatory reform, intergovernmental relations, and trade policy. He also holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from UET Lahore.
Mr. Mufti has participated in international training programs with ADB, JICA, and other institutions, enhancing his expertise in development finance, governance, and institutional capacity building. He is fluent in English, Urdu, and Punjabi.
